Through the eu.gov.ro platform, citizens can initially view prescriptions and referrals issued by doctors, and in the future they will be able to access other documents issued by public authorities, which will gradually be included in the platform.
In this phase, the project consists of an integrated medical document management solution, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization, to facilitate citizens' access to medical documents.
The project is currently in the pilot phase, with implementation in three counties: Prahova, Timiș and Bistrița. A project roadmap will be developed in the first part of 2025, to expand implementation nationwide.
Doctors use both mobile and web applications to issue prescriptions and referrals to specialists. The project also includes a web application for pharmacists and specialist doctors, which allows them to scan the QR code of prescriptions or referrals to access relevant details, providing the necessary medications or identifying procedures to be performed on patients.
Also, to ensure transparency, security and authenticity of prescriptions and referrals, the project uses Blockchain technology, which guarantees the integrity and authenticity of issued documents. The blockchain infrastructure is provided by STS (Special Telecommunications Service), thus ensuring a trusted and reliable system for managing digital documents.
In addition, a verifiable credentials mechanism compatible with EBSI (European Blockchain Services Infrastructure) is used to ensure an additional level of security and interoperability in the process of validating identity and issued documents.

For starters, you can access prescriptions, radiology referrals, laboratory test referrals, and referrals to specialists, with other documents to be provided as other institutions are enrolled.

All documents issued through medical applications are protected and verified by Blockchain technology. This guarantees that documents cannot be modified after issuance, thus ensuring their transparency, authenticity and integrity.

Yes, we offer maximum security for all medical information. We use encryption protocols to protect your data as it is transmitted from your mobile device to the pharmacy, guaranteeing your privacy and protection.
Q2. What treatments can I prescribe?
Treatment can be prescribed either using the trade names of the drugs or by directly specifying the active substances. The list of drugs available in the application is extensive and covers a wide range of therapeutic options. However, if you cannot find the trade name of the drug or the active substance in our list, you have the option to enter this information manually.

This application can be used by any qualified physician, including family doctors and specialists. It is available to all healthcare professionals to facilitate the prescribing and referral process.
